John Llewellyn started Lionheart Publishing in June 1987 with a staff of two and grew it to a 19-person organization and seven titles with gross revenues of $2 million+ in 2008. He has experience in all aspects of magazine publishing: design, editing, marketing, ad sales, circulation and overall management. He has always endeavored to deliver profitable, well-produced and well-written publications that meet the needs of the readers. A graduate of the London School of Economics with a Bachelor of Science in economics, John has a background as a writer, editor and officer in the Royal Marines. He is also skilled in the areas of sales and cost management.

Maria Bennett's 22+ years publishing experience includes audience development and new startups, circulation fulfillment , and marketing. She also heads up the online and print employment advertising department at Lionheart.

Alan Brubaker has been involved in print and publication production for more than 22 years, with over 20 years of experience at Lionheart Publishing. He is involved in overseeing all aspects of the print production process, including the design, creativity and overall quality of Lionheart’s magazines from concept to completion. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he earned a bachelor’s in graphic design.

Marvin Diamond has been working in communications in different marketing and publishing capacities for 45 years. He joined Lionheart Publishing in 1992, working in advertising sales for the company’s various publications. In 2002, Marvin took over the helm of advertising sales for Masonry magazine. Marvin’s primary mission at Lionheart is to represent Masonry magazine and to ensure clients receive top-notch customer service.

Patton McGinley, Online Projects Manager, has worked in publication production for nearly 32 years. He has worked for Lionheart 21 of those years. Starting out in pre-print production, he then helped lead Lionheart into the Internet age in the 1990s. He has been designing and maintaining our sites since then. Now Patton is spearheading Lionheart’s move into the growing field of mobile applications. Patton earned a bachelor’s in drawing and painting from Georgia State University.

Pamela Miller serves of Director of Operations for Lionheart Publishing and is a graduate of Georgia State University. She has more than 22 years of experience in accounting and customer service. She has been working for Lionheart for more than 16 years as head of accounting, human resources, and customer service. She is a team player and helps out in other departments of the company as needed.

Leslie Proctor, Assistant Online Projects Manager/Assistant Art Director, has worked in publication production for over 17 years, specializing in advertising, direct marketing and graphic design. Along with the production of some LPI publications, her work consists of web design, assisting with website UI, content and graphics over several platforms. She assists in the online publication posting, updating and design of all the Lionheart publications, as well as other design aspects, such as marketing materials, email campaigns, ad design and production assistance.

Cory Sekine-Pettite is the Editor of AKFCF Quarterly, Markee 2.0 Magazine, and Masonry Design. Additional responsibilities for Cory include overseeing Lionheart’s e-newsletter and social media programs. He has worked at Lionheart Publishing since 2006, and he has more than 22 years of B2B editing and writing experience. Cory has a bachelor’s in journalism from The University of Georgia. He has earned several national and regional journalism awards, and is a national board member of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).
